Fans all over the world have been saddened to hear the heartbreaking news Jin Tae Hyun and Park Si Eun had to share with the world.
In February of this year Si Eun let the world know that she was pregnant through an instagram post.

She welcomed another life into their family and revealed they could not be more excited.
She even said that she was grateful for the morning sickness she was experiencing.
Some time later, in July, the couple revealed the gender of their baby during an episode of SBS’ Same Bed, Different Dream 2.
During the ultrasound, the doctor revealed the couple was expecting a baby girl.
Instead of hosting a regular baby shower, Tae Hyun and Si Eun organized a donation cafe to make the birth of their child even more meaningful.
Tae Hyun said that all of the revenue would go to children with disabilities who were scheduled to undergo surgery.
In addition, the two also prepared gifts for other couples that were expecting.
All seemed to go well until Taehyun posted a heartbreaking post on Instagram.
He revealed that on August 16th the baby’s heart had suddenly stopped beating.
The pair found out their baby was no longer with them during a regular checkup.

The most heart shattering part is that it was only 20 days away from Si Eun’s due date.
Tae Hyun acknowledged the need to maintain his composure for the sake of his family by stating that he must be there for Si Eun when she needs him.
He said that not only was waiting outside the surgery room when the miscarriage happened tremendously humbling, but it also caused him to think back on his entire life.
He reassured Si Eun in the message and made sure to let her know none of this was her fault.
In a post on SNS, Si Eun revealed that although she was heartbroken and shocked, she would not give up.
Healing her mind and body was her top priority.
After the tragedy happened, the pair left to Jeju Island to process their great loss.

Taehyun and Si Eun have not had it easy when it comes to pregnancies.
Tae Hyun gave the public a bit of insight on their previous two miscarriages in 2021 in a post on Instagram.

He said it felt as if time was standing still.
He encouraged everyone to support Si Eun so she might have a healthy pregnancy this time.
Sadly, despite all of the encouraging comments, the odds were against her.
Luckily the couple already has a beautiful daughter, who they adopted in October of 2019.

In 2015, while on their honeymoon on Jeju Island, they visited the Jeju Angels’ Home Orphanage, where they later met their daughter Se Yeon.
She was a high school student at the time, and the pair decided to take care of her like her aunt and uncle after getting to know her.
They visited her on Jeju Island throughout the years while she was on break from school.
It turns out the two even invited her to stay with them when it was time for her to submit college applications.
They were already a family at that point so they made the decision to adopt her, because they wanted to be more than just her aunt and uncle and help her navigate through her twenties.
They are a happy family now and can not wait to welcome more members.
