In April of 2021, it was revealed that Kim Jung Hyun had an ongoing dispute with his agency regarding the length of his contract.
The problem came when his agency found out that Jung Hyun met with another agency behind their back when his contract hadn’t even ended.
Jung Hyun still had 11 months left with the agency, counting the time he took off in 2018 due to “health issues”.
It was revealed that the hiatus wasn’t because of health issues but because of Jung Hyun’s attitude towards his colleagues from the Time show.
Many noticed that during the press conference for the show, Jung Hyun seemed cold towards his colleague Seohyun.
His grim attitude made a lot of fans uncomfortable. As an excuse, Jung Hyun said that his role of a very sick patient consumed him too much and it was hard to get out of that mindset.
A few days later, it was revealed that it was actually Jung Hyun’s girlfriend, Seo Ye Ji, who was behind his uncomfortable behavior.
Seo Ye Ji directed Jung Hyun to be cold and rude to others by not greeting them or smiling at them.
It seemed like she was jealous of all the scenes Jung Hyun had with his female colleagues.
