With his tall figure and broad shoulders, Woo Bin first debuted as a runway model at the age of 20 in 2009.
He then slowly transitioned into acting by debuting in the 2011 mystery drama White Christmas and appeared in School 2013.
He started to gain popularity when he starred as one of the main cast in the hit drama The Heirs.
But despite gaining popularity, some fans still question whether he was suitable and fit for the role.
Although people do acknowledge he has good structure, unfortunately, his appearance was a bit debatable.
Even Woo Bin once mentioned he was not confident of how he looked.
He stated:
“I don’t think I’m handsome. When I look in the mirror at home, I often think I look hideous.”
There were also allegations that Woo Bin underwent a couple of surgeries to ‘improve’ his image.
As his previous pre-debut photos resurface, people can’t help but compare how he used to look.
He used to have a protruded mouth and a wider and bigger nose.
Although Woo Bin never confirmed nor denied anything in regard to his having surgery, netizens still did not stop pointing out what they thought was wrong with his appearance, before and after his debut.
Just like Ryu Jun Yeol and Lee Kwang Soo, who were able to win the hearts of beautiful actresses, Kim Woo Bin also captured the heart of one, Shin Min Ah.

The couple started dating back in 2015 and ever since they were inseparable.
Even during Woo Bin’s toughest time, when he was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer in 2017, Shin Min Ah never left him and stood by his side.
Up until now, the couple still remains one of the industry’s “it couple” and was even recently spotted on a date in Paris last September 2022.
