Cheese In The Trap
Even though the webtoon adaptation Cheese In The Trap aired in 2016, fans cannot seem to let go of the horrible ending.
The series’ core cliché is “opposites attract,” as a sour-tempered rich guy falls for a feisty, less fortunate girl.

Fans seem to hate Jung, the male lead and actually prefer the second lead.
The main couple, Seol and Jung, call it quits at the end of the show.
After their breakup there is a time jump of three years after which they still are not together.
Seol sends him emails which are left unanswered.
The open ending, the unanswered questions and the fact that there is not a second season to resolve this, is what makes fans criticize the season finale.
