Female celebrities in general tend to get attacked for anything and everything.

From leaving sets to mistreatment scandals, these actresses had incidents that turned the opinion of the public against them.

2011 – Han Yesul

Han Yesul, who was the female lead of the drama “Spy Myungwol” in 2011, made a shocking decision to leave the country while the drama was still shooting.

She did not show up on set on August 14 because she had planned to catch an afternoon flight to Los Angeles the very next day.

It became quite a big problem since she did not tell anyone where she’s going or when she would be coming back.

Because of this, the production of the drama came to a halt and filming was delayed to the point they could not finish on time.

The media started speculating that she was having a feud with the producers of the show due to the schedule of the shooting, which turned out to be true.

Yesul went back to South Korea soon after and the drama resumed filming after she apologized to the cast and crew for the inconvenience.

2013 – Park Shiyeon, Lee Sungyeon, Jang Miinae and Hyun Young

Actresses Park Shiyeon, Lee Sungyeon, Jang Miinae and Hyun Young were all investigated by law enforcement in 2013, for using illegal substances.

The actresses claimed that they took propofol for medical treatments but they were still charged with the crime.

The agencies kept insisting that the medication was given with the recommendation of the doctor and said that the actresses did not even know what propofol was until they were charged.

All four of them were sentenced to eight months in prison.

2014 – Song Hyekyo

Song Hyekyo caused national outrage when it was revealed that she had committed tax evasion.

She was investigated by the National Tax Service and the Board of Audit and Inspection, as they claimed that Song Hyekyo did not report a total of $2.5 million in income from the years 2009 to 2011.

Hyekyo paid the back taxes and the penalty and also issued an apology to the public for her actions.

Her representatives said that it was not Hyekyo’s fault and that the accountants who handled her taxes were to blame instead.

She found herself apologising multiple times during the year and the issue was forgotten overtime.
