After being embroiled in a scandal, it surely is not easy for celebrities to make a comeback. But luckily, Kim Seon Ho was able to get back on his feet again.

Seon Ho’s about to make a comeback on the small screen!

He has been offered to star in a historical romance drama Haesi’s Shinru, and is considering taking the part.

The production company Studio and New stated, “We are positively reviewing Kim Seon Ho’s appearance.”

If he accepts the drama, Seon Ho will play the lead role of Lee Hyang, a genius crown prince who loves the stars.

On the other hand, it was also confirmed that Seon Ho will star in the movie Tyrant, a new project by Park Hoon Jung which Seon Ho worked on in the movie Sad Tropics.

Seon Ho had to briefly take a break since exactly a year ago he was caught up in a controversy with his ex-girlfriend which he immediately addressed and followed by an apology letter.

But not long after, his name was cleared after investigations that his ex-girlfriend reportedly distorted the truth.

Despite clearing his name, Kim Seon Ho remained silent from the public for quite some time.

With South Korea’s “cancel culture”, a lot of brands dropped him as their ambassador and was also removed from a few of his films and dramas.

But after all that, the production team of Sad Tropics continued to keep him as one of their main actors.

There is still no official release date of the movie but it is expected to hit the big screen in the later part of this year.

Also the same month, despite the circumstances he was in, Seon Ho was able to win two awards in the 2021 Asia Artist Awards.

Seonho topped the votes of two categories, the RET Popularity Award and the U+Idol Live Popularity Award.

However, Seon Ho decided not to attend the ceremony because it seemed as if it wasn’t the right time to return to the public’s eye.

When the new year started and as his controversy slowly faded away, Seon Ho had received a lot of offers but unfortunately, he has been rejecting all of them this year.

He still remained silent and away from the public’s eye at the start of 2022.

But by February, his name became a hot topic as it was revealed that he made a generous donation to the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation last December in 2021.

It was reported he donated 50 million won which is approximately $41,740.

At that time, Seon Ho asked the foundation to not disclose his information to the public.

On March 31, he was first seen back in public as he was spotted in Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport.

He was in Thailand for the filming of his movie Sad Tropics.

Thai fans made sure that his stay in the country was warm, safe, and filled with love.

There were various billboard projects displayed all over the city with the message, “Welcome to Thailand, Kim Seonho!“.

There were also multiple welcoming posters for Seon Ho that were attached to tuk-tuks, Thailand’s local mode of transportation that can be seen everywhere.

Seon Ho even took a selfie with it!

He was also spotted by a few Thai fans together with his team roaming freely around the city during their break time.

After spending two weeks in the country for the filming of Sad Tropics, Seon Ho together with the whole team left the country on April 7.

The airport was filled with a huge but organized crowd to give Seon Ho a grand and warm send-off.

As Seon Ho received a warm welcome and send-off from his visit in Thailand, unfortunately, things were different the moment he returned to South Korea the next day.

He was mobbed and got bombarded by paparazzi from every direction to the point that he struggled to move away from them.

He left Thailand with a big bright smile but entered Korea mostly covering his face and having his head down the whole time and not having enough personal space so he could exit the airport safely.

A day before his birthday, Seon Ho made his official comeback on his personal Instagram account.

He posted a photo of a daylight moon and expressed his heartwarming appreciation to his fans by celebrating his birthday and all the birthday wishes he received.

Seon Ho marked his return to the industry on June 22 as SALT Entertainment released a poster for Seon Ho’s play Touching The Void.

And a month after the announcement, Seon Ho just made his first official public appearance at the press conference for the play.

As he made his highly-anticipated theater comeback, he reportedly shed tears while reading his apology letter in front of the press.

Also during the press conference, Seon Ho revealed the reason why he decided to accept Touching The Void as his first play since his hiatus.

He ended up liking the script and made him think a lot about life and wanted to share the message to other people through his play.

His play received so much love and support from his fans that he even managed to sell out all of his play dates.

2022 is about to end and only good things have been happening to Seon Ho.

He recently received the Outstanding Korean Actor award during the 2022 Seoul International Drama Awards, for his performance as Chief Hong Du Sik in Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha.

Unfortunately, due to some scheduling conflicts, Seon Ho could not attend in person to receive the trophy at the award ceremony.

However, he delivered a warm acceptance speech via video and used his own spotlight to credit the entire Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha crew.

Seon Ho also finally agreed to take up brand deals and was named as the new face for the Philippine clothing brand, Bench.

Filipino fans are hoping for a possible fanmeet with Seon Ho, since some other actors also organized a fan meeting for Bench.
